NADC has a
simple goal:

To work
accident free!

Safety is our number one core value. Every task we undertake is performed with the highest standards of safety in mind. Achieving an incident-free work environment requires each of us to pay careful attention to every detail of our daily operations. The commitment of every employee, subcontractor, and customer is essential to reaching this goal. As partners in success, we must share the responsibility of doing our very best to identify any unsafe conditions or actions and promptly bring them to our attention.

We invest considerable time and effort into our company safety program safety equipment and personnel training. We treat the program as a “living document,” updating it regularly with input from all levels of the company and project-based lessons learned.

Safety is not just a priority for NADC; it is the foundation of our operations. We understand the inherent risks of our work and take a proactive approach to mitigate them by building a culture that believes in safety above everything else, comprehensive project safety planning, employee training, and innovative improvements to work methods

Safety Summary – Procedures & Declarations

Historically, safety concerns have plagued the demolition industry, and can supersede any other project successes. Demolition is a dangerous occupation and safety requires much more than just a conscious effort.

North American Dismantling Corp. maintains a complete and extensive Health and Safety Manual, which is continually upgraded to comply and promulgate the ever-changing OSHA, EPA, DNR and other governmental agency regulations. NADC presents and updates any new information to our staff via newsletters, management meetings and corporate sponsored safety seminars. In addition, NADC has a drug testing program, and consistently adopts our clients’ specific drug testing programs, to ensure a drug free and safe work environment.

Each of NADC’s project managers, superintendents, and key personnel has received OSHA 30-hour safety training, 40-hour hazardous waste procedures, asbestos awareness training, lead awareness training, and CPR/First-Aid training. Our demolition professionals who occupy critical leadership roles on job sites also have certifications from the National Demolition Association, team NADC has the most NDA certified professionals on one team in the country. NDA's Certified Demolition Supervisor and Certified Demolition Technician designation are certifications that require a deep understanding of safety, environmental compliance, operational methodology, project management, and people management, ensuring that CDS and CDT certified professionals are equipped to handle the complexities and challenges unique to demolition work. On-site operators and laborers are also fully trained as part of project orientation. Prior to the start of a project, we conduct an extensive Pre-Demolition Survey to identify all possible safety hazards that may exist.

These certifications reflect more than individual achievement—it’s a reflection of our determination to exceed industry expectations. Our team's credentials validate our technical knowledge and leadership skills, further distinguishing NADC from other contractors.

The core of NADC’s safety philosophy is grounded in the following principles:

  1. Mechanized demolition reduces manual labor and exposure to hazardous conditions.
  2. Pre-demolition planning establishes safety as the primary objective from day one and incorporates best practices into this execution plan.
  3. Personnel training supports the idea that nothing promotes safety better than knowledgeable and experienced team members.
  4. Utilizing tools to continually improve our safety process, like through the use of NIXN, a highly effective observation and prevention program.
