NADC completed the decommissioning, environmental coordination and total demolition of a large plastics manufacturing facility in Washington, West Virginia.
The project extended across approximately 100 acres and included process buildings, tank farms, utilities, warehouses, laboratories, wastewater-treatment facilities and supporting structures.

Demolition progressed while portions of the plastics plant remained operational. Buildings were released to NADC in phases as production ended, environmental cleaning was completed and asbestos-containing materials were removed.
The team also needed to coordinate utility isolation, universal-waste removal and underground electrical work without interrupting power to the guard house and office building that remained outside the project scope.
NADC managed the environmental-abatement process before removing salable assets, collecting universal waste and verifying that utilities were disconnected.
Structures were then demolished using excavators equipped with shears, grapples, hammers and concrete processors. Concrete slabs, tank bases and other structures were crushed on site and reused for final grading. The site was sloped and restored to manage drainage and support future development.
