What Are Critical Lift & Pick Services?

Critical lift and pick services involve the planned lifting, movement and removal of heavy, oversized or high-consequence components where precise execution is essential. NADC evaluates the load, equipment, rigging, site conditions, access and surrounding operations to develop an engineered approach for each lift.

NADC provides critical lift planning and execution to support dismantling, equipment removal and asset recovery projects. Work may include engineered rigging, lift sequencing, load monitoring and controlled component removal using qualified personnel and equipment selected for the specific conditions of the project.

A Planned Approach to Critical Lift & Pick Services

Critical lifts require detailed planning before equipment is mobilized or a load is moved. NADC evaluates the component, lifting requirements, site conditions, equipment configuration and surrounding operations to develop a coordinated approach for safe, controlled execution.

01

Lift Planning & Engineering

Load characteristics, pick points, crane requirements, rigging configurations, clearances and site conditions are evaluated to develop a project-specific lift plan.

02

Equipment & Rigging Coordination

Cranes, rigging systems, lifting devices and support equipment are selected and coordinated based on the load, access requirements and planned sequence.

03

Site & Load Preparation

The work area, access routes, equipment setup and load are prepared before the lift, including required separation, stabilization and coordination with surrounding operations.

04

Controlled Lift & Placement

Qualified personnel execute the lift according to the established plan, maintaining communication and load control through removal, movement and final placement.

Critical Lift & Pick Capabilities

NADC provides critical lift and pick services for heavy, oversized and complex components requiring detailed planning, specialized equipment and controlled execution. Each lift is coordinated around the load, site conditions, access requirements and surrounding operations.

Plan

Lift Planning & Engineering

Evaluation of load characteristics, pick points, equipment requirements, clearances and site conditions to develop a coordinated lift approach.

Rigging & Load Configuration

Planning and selection of rigging systems, lifting devices and connection points based on the component, geometry and lift requirements.

Execute

Critical Lifts & Heavy Picks

Controlled lifting and movement of large, heavy or high-consequence components using equipment selected for the specific project conditions.

Component Removal & Placement

Removal, relocation and placement of equipment, structural components and other major loads as part of dismantling or demolition activities.

Coordinate

Crane & Equipment Coordination

Coordination of cranes, support equipment, access routes, setup areas and work zones to support safe and efficient lift execution.

Site & Operational Coordination

Planning around existing structures, active operations, restricted access and other site constraints that may affect the lift sequence.

Critical Lift & Pick Services Across Complex Facilities

NADC performs critical lifts and heavy picks across a wide range of industrial facilities where load size, access, surrounding structures and operating conditions require detailed planning and controlled execution.

Power Generation Facilities

Heavy lifts and controlled removal of stacks, generating equipment, structural components and other major plant systems.

Manufacturing Plants

Lifting and relocation of production equipment, machinery and structural components within active, transitioning or retired facilities.

Pulp & Paper Mills

Critical picks involving process equipment, tanks, vessels, structural sections and other large mill components.

Chemical & Process Plants

Planned lifting and removal of tanks, vessels, process equipment and structural components within complex plant environments.

Industrial Facilities

Heavy component removal and placement where restricted access, surrounding infrastructure or project sequencing create additional lift considerations.

Ports & Material Handling Facilities

Critical lifting of conveyors, unloaders, structural assemblies and other large material-handling equipment.

Demolition & Dismantling Projects

Specialized lifting used to support the controlled separation, removal and placement of major structural or equipment components.
