What Is Emergency Response?

Emergency response demolition addresses unplanned events that require rapid mobilization, experienced personnel and the equipment needed to stabilize and remove damaged structures. NADC responds to situations resulting from tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, structural failures and other events that leave buildings or infrastructure unsafe or unstable.

NADC works with owners, contractors, emergency personnel and government agencies to assess site conditions and coordinate demolition activities as conditions require. Depending on the project, this may include work alongside agencies such as FEMA, the FBI and the U.S. General Services Administration.
