What Is Dismantling & Decommissioning?

Dismantling and decommissioning involves taking facilities, systems and equipment out of service and removing components in a planned, controlled sequence. NADC develops each project around facility conditions, surrounding operations, utility requirements, material handling needs and the property’s intended future use.

NADC performs dismantling and decommissioning for industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, power generation sites and other complex properties. Work may include equipment and system dismantling, structural removal, utility coordination, asset recovery, material processing, recycling and preparation of the site for redevelopment, reuse or future construction.

Phased decommissioning and demolition across an approximately 100-acre plastics facility, including utility isolation, equipment and asset removal, structural demolition and site restoration. Work was carefully sequenced as portions of the facility remained operational.
